Dermatology syllabus in China
- Dermatovenereology is a subject that studies the diseases occurring on the skin and
associated with the skin.
- It is one of the basic lessons for medical students.
Course Description:
- The contents of the curriculum involve general consideration and special introductions. General considerations introduce structure, the physiological function of skin; clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of dermatoses. In the introductions of special diseases, our purpose of teaching is to let the students know the etiology,
clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of some common dermatoses.
- They include viral dermatoses, bacterial dermatoses, fungal dermatoses, eczema and dermatitis, drug eruption, urticaria, psoriasis, erythema multiforme, connective tissue diseases, bullous dermatoses, acne, rosacea and sexually transmitted diseases.
- It is important to master the basic knowledge, which is strengthened by the study on the out-patient and in-patient.
Teaching methods
- The teaching methods include Lecture and Practice.
- We also use other teaching methods: student-led seminars, case discussions, questions and answers, make conclusions, in order to encourage the students in active learning.
- We plan to introduce typical cases and use pictures and multimedia to enhance the student’s understand the diseases.
