Clinical Pharmacology syllabus in China
- Clinical Pharmacology is based on basic pharmacology and clinical medicine as well
as takes the human body as a research objective. - Clinical pharmacology research can provide bases for rational administration, which is the basis of pharmacotherapeutics.
Course Description:
- The content is involved in various fields of clinical medication and its scientific research, including clinical pharmacodynamics, clinical pharmacokinetics, clinical trials, therapeutical effect evaluation, adverse effect monitoring and drug interaction.
- From the viewpoint of new drug development, clinical pharmacology research is the last stage of new drug development, it aims directly at the evaluation of new drugs in
the therapeutical effect, physiological disposition and safety, which can help to establish dosage regimen, and provide scientific bases for pharmaceutical manufacture, management and rational uses. - This subject is taught by professors and vice professors of the pharmacology department.
Teaching methods
- Lectures: Teach students related knowledge and information to the largest extent by multimedia
- Discussion: Organize the students to discuss the questions associated with clinical knowledge and rational uses of medicines
- Seminars: Seminars on some important topics will be planned, in which experts in corresponding fields are invited to discuss with the students
- Self-teaching: Teach students interesting knowledge by themselves under the instruction of teachers, and write the reports
- PBL: Offer the questions to the students, let them refer to related materials and write the reports, and then discuss with them
