Swiss-American psychiatrist, a leading authority on death psychology. These are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and perhaps acceptance. The book offers strategies for caregivers. The study grew from a seminar he set up at the University of Chicago Billings Hospital, where he talked about his thoughts on the death approach of the deceased patients. The book’s best-selling success led him to a career of clinical practice, from treating dying patients of all ages.
