Medical Criteria – T
tPA:
- Absolute Exclusion Criteria for tPA
- Suspected subarachnoid haemorrhage
- Previous intracranial haemorrhage
- Cerebral infarct or severe HI within the past 3 months
- BP >185 mmHg systolic, or >110 mmHg diastolic
- Bleeding diathesis
- Prolonged PT >15 s or INR >1.7
- Platelet count <100,000
- Heparin received within last 48 h
- Current use of thrombin inhibitors or direct factor Xa inhibitors
- Blood glucose <2.8 mmol/L (<50 mg/dL)
- Intracranial haemorrhage on CT or large volume infarct
- Relative Exclusion Criteria for tPA

- Only minor or rapidly improving symptoms
- Pregnancy
- GI or urinary haemorrhage within the past 21 days
- Seizure at onset causing postictal impairments
TIC DISORDERS:
- Common Criteria

- Tics may wax and wane in frequency but have persisted for an extended period of time
- Onset is <18 yrs.
- Disturbance is not attributable to the physiological effects of a substance or another medical condition
TRANSUDATIVE PLEURAL EFFUSIONS:
- All criteria for transudate must be fulfilled to be considered a transudative effusion. If any one of the criteria for exudates is met – it is an exudate
