- The term is used to describe the occurrence of rheumatoid factor – negative arthritis of the peripheral joints and/or spondylitis in patients with psoriasis of the skin or nails. Involvement of the proximal and distal interphalangeal joints: accounts for about 5% of psoriatic arthritis.
